Alien Hominid started out as a flash game, and they just released a version on Ps2 & Gamecube. The character design rocks, and I love the simple flash style animation, so I went and did up some fanart.
I took a while on this, decided that I should spend the extra time and do up a background, and I think it really adds to the piece.
Thanks...I really tried to go all out, and just keep at it until I was completely happy with it. Like you said, cgs take a ton of time, but the results will show all the effort you put into it.
I am actually most happy with the flames and smoke...even though I usually dig think inking around stuff, I really like the almost vector look of doing it with no outlines.
Very cool! I just picked the game up myself, might end up doing some fanart of my own. Saw your topic on Gamefaqs and thought I'd check this out. Nice work!
Hey, thanks alot for the nice comments and fav. I actually did the fanart after playing the game a bit on a rental, but I bought it now, so I will probably do another piece. I really dig the art style, simplistic but exagerated...and its fun to draw the characters, and now that I saw some of the later levels, I have to draw some other stuff too...like the fat kid in the bear suit, that rocks!

Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
